Chang Teck Chung is the Site Quality Head at Takeda Manufacturing Singapore, overseeing quality operations for commercial and clinical biologics drug substance production.
With over 35 years of experience across pharmaceutical, nutrition, petrochemical and biopharmaceutical sectors, he has led Quality, Technical Services, manufacturing, and supply chain functions with MNCs such as Exxon, MSD Singapore greenfield start-up, and GSK. Before Takeda, Teck Chung held regional and site Quality leadership at Abbott and previously led Technical Services and Quality at Pfizer/Wyeth Nutrition Singapore from its 2000 greenfield start-up.
During his tenure at Takeda, Teck Chung undertook a two-and-a-half-year international assignment in Shanghai, where he led the development of the China Quality roadmap and established a dedicated China-for-China corporate Quality function. This initiative supported the Takeda China Business Unit in attaining double-digit annual growth and facilitating 15 NDA product launches over a five-year period.
Teck Chung’s contribution to national workforce development efforts, include being a member on the WSQ Pharmaceuticals Quality (Food Science) Technical Committee under Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower and a SkillsFuture Career Advisor (Manufacturing Sector) with Workforce Singapore.
He holds executive and academic credentials including Leading & Managing Globally from Yale School of Management (USA); an MBA from the University of Tasmania (Australia); a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Singapore Institute of Management; and a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin (Ireland).


Dr. Qiuming (Miles) Shi is a senior biopharmaceutical executive with 15+ years of integrated experience across R&D, commercial strategy and large-scale technical operations. He has led multiple technology transfers for mRNA vaccines, PCV13, monoclonal antibodies and complex biologics, and has built GMP and WHO PQ–aligned quality systems in emerging markets.
Most recently, Dr. Shi served as Chief Technology Officer at PT Etana Biotechnologies in Southeast Asia, overseeing R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Digitalization and Engineering. His prior leadership roles at Merck, Sartorius, GE Healthcare and Boehringer Ingelheim span vaccine development, bioprocessing strategy and technical applications across Asia.
Dr. Shi combines deep scientific expertise with operational excellence and multicultural leadership, with a focus on enabling global-scale manufacturing, organisational transformation and sustainable biopharma growth.


Professor Waranyoo Phoolcharoen is a leading expert in plant-based biopharmaceuticals, with academic credentials from Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Arizona State University. Since 2010, she has led pioneering research in molecular pharming at Chulalongkorn University, harnessing plant biotechnology to produce pharmaceutical proteins targeting infectious diseases. In 2018, she co-founded Baiya Phytopharm, a trailblazing company that accelerates drug development using advanced plant-based platforms. This technology significantly reduces production timelines and costs. Committed to innovation and global health, Professor Phoolcharoen’s work continues to transform the field of vaccine and therapeutic protein development in Southeast Asia and beyond


Santi Purwantini is a senior supply chain professional with extensive experience in planning, scheduling, and operational excellence within complex manufacturing environments. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives that enhance supply chain agility, production reliability, and end-to-end planning performance through data-driven decision-making and digital transformation, achieving 97–99% order fulfillment accuracy.
With a strong background in demand-supply synchronization, inventory optimization, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration, Santi has successfully leveraged advanced analytics, automation, and digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and business resilience. Her expertise spans supply planning strategy, risk management, scenario planning, and the implementation of technology-enabled solutions that drive smarter and more responsive supply chains. Her leadership has resulted in a 50% reduction in manufacturing overhead costs and improved supplier on-time delivery performance from 80% to 96% across a network of more than 200 suppliers.
Passionate about Supply Chain 4.0, Santi advocates for the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and predictive analytics to build resilient, data-driven supply chains that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and deliver sustainable business value. At BioSupply Chain Asia 2027, Santi will present "Smart Supply Chain 4.0: Predictive Logistics, AI, Blockchain & Automation: Driving Enterprise-Wide Digital Transformation Across Manufacturing and Logistics." Her presentation will explore how organizations can harness digital technologies to transform traditional supply chain functions into intelligent, interconnected ecosystems.
